Dragonfly opened in May 2019 and is the first and only pure STEAMPUNK-style venue in Florence.

The furnishings were created by a team of international architects who specialize in precisely this fantasy style, inspired by the English industrial revolution of the late 1800s.

The Steampunk style describes an anachronistic world in which technology and instrumentation are driven only by the motive power of steam, and electricity returns, as in nineteenth-century science fiction, as a narrative element capable of every advancement and wonder, where computers are completely mechanical, and huge magnetic apparatuses are capable of altering even the orbit of the Moon.

The slogan that best identifies this style is definitely:

"what the past would have been like if the future had come sooner."
